Joelle is one of our incredible program facilitators at Groei Education, guiding students through entrepreneurial programs and helping them turn ideas into market-ready ventures. With nearly 25 years of teaching experience in foreign languages, business and hospitality education, she brings a wealth of knowledge, hands-on expertise and a deep passion for student success.
What drives Joelle? Those “lightbulb moments” when students realise their potential, especially when they ditch their pitch notes and speak from the heart. Seeing their confidence soar as they take ownership of their ideas is what makes her role so rewarding. She knows firsthand that learning is most powerful when it’s relevant, practical and gives students real-world skills they can carry into the future.
Joelle is particularly passionate about preparing young people for the evolving world of work. With industries shifting rapidly, she believes students need more than just knowledge. They need adaptability, entrepreneurial thinking and the confidence to carve their own paths. Whether it’s launching a business, innovating within an existing company, exploring new career possibilities or applying entrepreneurial thinking within the school environment, she helps students develop the mindset and skills to thrive in a changing landscape.
Beyond the classroom, Joelle has coached students to international culinary success, run her own business and even swum across the Gold Coast Broadwater (before realising there were sharks!). Joelle has also owned her own business, giving her firsthand experience in entrepreneurship and the challenges of starting and running a venture. She believes that keeping young people engaged comes down to relevance and empowerment, connecting learning to real-world opportunities and future aspirations.
With a deep passion for helping young people find their purpose, Joelle is an inspiring force at Groei Education, equipping students with the confidence and skills they need to design their own futures.
